Voting in Lethbridge County municipal election set for Saturday & Monday

Residents of Lethbridge County will have two days to cast their ballots in the 2025 municipal election.

Polling stations will be open at the following times and locations:

Advance Vote

Saturday, October 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

  • Division 6: Shaughnessy Community Hall (133 3 Street, Shaughnessy)
  • Division 7: Turin Community Center (105 Third Street, Turin)

Voting Day

Monday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Division 6: Shaughnessy Community Hall (133 3 Street, Shaughnessy)
  • Division 7: Turin Community Center (105 Third Street, Turin)

Of the seven divisions within the County, electoral contests will only be held in Divisions 6 and 7.

William Raats and Eric Van Essen are running to represent Division 6, while the race in Division 7 will pit Tony Ankermann against Morris Zeinstra.

Division 6 includes communities such as Shaugnessy, Deer Run Estates and Reurink. Division 7 includes Iron Springs and Turin.

The other five divisions have already been decided via acclamation:

  • Division 1 – Lorne Hickey
  • Division 2 – Tory Campbell
  • Division 3 – Mark Sayers
  • Division 4 – John Kuerbis
  • Division 5 – Kevin Slomp
