Blaine Hyggen projected to win re-election as Lethbridge mayor

The City of Lethbridge has announced the unofficial results of the mayoral race in the 2025 municipal election.

Blaine Hyggen is projected to have won with an estimated 7,591 votes, or approximately 44.5 per cent.

He is set to serve a second term as mayor after two terms on city council.

Ryan Mennie was projected to come in at second place with 6,716 ballots, or 37.9 per cent.

Quentin Carlson is projected to be in third place with 1,864 votes, or 10.5 per cent, while Michael Petraks had 698 votes or 3.9 per cent.

Eight seats are up for grabs in the race for city council. With 19 of 20 polls reporting, here are the projected results:

The results still need to be verified and will become official at noon on Friday, Oct. 24.
