Lethbridge Police to host ‘Trunk or Treat’ on Halloween

Oct 24, 2025 | 10:06 AM

Families in Lethbridge can once again take part in a relatively new Halloween tradition.

The Lethbridge Police Service is set to host its third annual Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 31, 2025.

It is described as a frightfully fun, family-friendly event where kids can trick-or-treat from decorated police vehicles in a safe environment.

“Trunk or Treat is quickly becoming one of our favourite traditions,” says Cst. Joel Running, one of the event organizers. “We love meeting the kids and their families, especially when they’re so excited to show us their costumes and get some candy. We’re also thrilled that we have so many willing volunteers this year that we can open up a third location – making the event accessible to even more people in our community.”

Trunk or Treat takes place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Halloween. LPS has added a third location for this year:

  • (New) SOUTH – The Henderson Lake/Nikka Yuko parking lot, just off Mayor Magrath Drive South.
  • WEST – The boat launch parking lot at Nicholas Sheran Park, just off McMaster Boulevard West.
  • NORTH – The green space behind the Logan Boulet Arena, around the 800 block of 15 Street North.

Although the free event is designed for families with younger children, all youth are welcome to attend.
