Lethbridge reminds businesses to file 2025 waste diversion reports

The City of Lethbridge is reminding local businesses and organizations to complete their 2025 waste diversion reports by Jan. 31, 2026.
According to the city’s Waste Bylaw 6146, all members of the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) sector must report what kinds of waste they create, how its sorted and how its collected.
With more than 2,900 ICI operations in Lethbridge producing nearly two-thirds of the city’s landfilled waste each year, officials say the reports are key to improving diversion efforts.
The process of reporting is free.
