Investigators are continuing to look into an incident at the Lethbridge Airport this week.

Around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, a twin-propeller Cessna 441 Conquest had come to rest on the grass beside an active runway.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services says the small plane sustained “significant damage” to both engines and its landing gear.

The pilot was the only person on board and was not injured.

No fires were started as a result of the crash.

Crews have secured the scene and ensured that airport operations can continue safely.

The cause of the incident is currently unknown, but the Transportation Safety Board of Canada will lead the investigation.
