River Valley fire ban lifted in Lethbridge

Fire restrictions in Lethbridge’s coulees are being eased.

The City of Lethbridge says, effective immediately, the public can once again use the provided fire pits in the River Valley.

The lifting of the fire ban is due to recent changes in weather conditions, including higher humidity levels, which have reduced the risk of wildfires.

Residents are asked to use clean, dry wood and ensure that the fire is completely extinguished before leaving.

The City is also advising that people continue to be cautious when disposing of smoking materials.
