The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has put a man behind bars on charges related to an allegedly violent incident.

Officers were called to a home on Lakemount Boulevard South just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.

They say a 21-year-old man was found in medical distress and was transported by EMS to hospital.

The suspect was arrested on the scene. A knife, which LPS believes was used in the attack, was seized from the home.

Upon further investigation, the police service determined that the twin brothers got into an argument, which escalated to a physical altercation.

“Evidence was obtained indicating the accused stabbed the victim multiple times and believed he had killed him,” reads a news release from LPS.

Bayley Nathaniel Minoose, 21, of Cardston, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon.

Minoose was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 9.

The 21-year-old victim has been released from hospital and is recovering from his injuries.
