Thousands of donations made to LPS Charity Checkstop
The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is thanking the public for supporting its holiday season campaign so strongly.
The 6th Annual Charity Checkstop was held on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Residents donated $2,114 in cash, 843 pounds of food, 540 toys, and 28 gifts for seniors.
These items will be given to the Christmas Hope campaign, which is a collaboration between seven non-profit organizations in the city: Lethbridge Food Bank, Interfaith Food Bank, The Salvation Army, Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree, MyCityCare Shop of Wonders, Volunteer Lethbridge, and the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization’s Golden Giving Tree.
