Blood Tribe Police trying to identify man in Monday incident

UPDATE (9:37 a.m. Wednesday): The Blood Tribe Police Service says it has identified a suspect in this case and they are in contact with him. No further information will be released at this time.

Original Story:

The Blood Tribe Police Service (BTPS) is asking the public for their assistance in an investigation.

They say, at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, a resident came across a white GMC Yukon at the intersection of Highways 2 and 509 near Standoff.

β€œIt appeared that an adult male was attempting to pull an adult female into his vehicle. The female was heard yelling for help,” reads a news release from the BTPS.

As the passerby approached, the man got into his vehicle and drove away.

The woman was brought to a nearby gas station and contacted police. She was not injured and was cleared at the scene by EMS.
