A pair of Lethbridge hockey players are among the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League’s (KIJHL) Team of the Week for the period ending Dec. 21, 2025.

Hayden Iron Shirt, a forward with the Golden Rockets, helped set up a game-winning goal in a 3-1 victory over the Kimberley Dynamiters on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025. Then, the Lethbridge native erupted for a hat trick—including the winner—and five points in a 7-3 win over the Creston Valley Thunder Cats the next night.

Iron Shirt averaged 18:35 of ice time per game, finished +8, and was not on the ice for a goal against.

Meantime, Ryan Neufeld, a defenceman with the Beaver Valley Nitehawks, assisted on Ayden Probe’s short-handed goal to give Beaver Valley a 3-2 lead before scoring the game-winner in a 4-3 victory over the Castlegar Rebels on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025.

Neufeld was +3 and averaged 24:50 of ice time per game.

Elsewhere, Medicine Hat’s Beck Boiteau, a goaltender for the Golden Rockets, was sharp in a 3-1 win over the division-leading Kimberley Dynamiters on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, stopping 39 of 40 shots. The Gas City native posted a 1.00 goals-against average and a .975 save percentage, including 14 saves on 15 second-period shots. This is Boiteau’s second Team of the Week selection.
