Man charged by LPS with drug trafficking twice in two days

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says an Alberta man ended 2025 on a low note – getting arrested two times in as many days.

On December 30, 2025, officers say they saw a man who was operating a blue Honda Accord engaging in drug trafficking activities.

They pulled the vehicle over and claimed that the driver and lone occupant attempted to swallow multiple bags of what is believed to be cocaine.

A 23-year-old man was arrested, and LPS says they found over 14 grams of cocaine, 30 unknown pills, and more than $700 in cash. He was charged and later released from custody.

The following day, police claim to have spotted the same man in the same Honda Accord meeting with a 19-year-old man in a white Chevrolet Impala in a residential area in Coalhurst. The pair was allegedly conducting a “suspicious transaction.”

As the suspects tried to return to their vehicles, they were arrested.

Both suspect and vehicles were searched, resulting in the confiscation of $7,900 in cash and 113 grams of cocaine.

LPS later obtained and executed a search warrant for a home on Devonia Circle West that was being used as an Airbnb, and seized nearly $16,500 in cash.
