Stanley Cup Champions Mike Commodore & André Roy headlining Hurricanes Celebrity Dinner

The Lethbridge Hurricanes have invited two retired hockey greats to an upcoming event.

The club has announced that Stanley Cup Champions Mike Commodore and André Roy will be the special guests at the 2026 Hurricanes Celebrity Dinner on Feb. 28, 2026.

Commodore, 46, spent parts of 11 seasons as a defenceman in the NHL, appearing in 484 regular-season games. He amassed 106 points (23g-83a) and 683 penalty minutes with the New Jersey Devils, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning.

He nearly captured his first Stanley Cup in 2004 when he helped the Flames to reach the final, but Calgary fell in seven games.

Commodore secured his NHL championship two years later with the Carolina Hurricanes, where he appeared in 25 playoff games and posted four points (2g-2a).

He is originally from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, and played 14 seasons of professional hockey between the NHL, American Hockey League, and the Kontinental Hockey League before retiring in 2014.

Roy, 50, spent three seasons in the CHL, helping the Chicoutimi Saguenéens capture the 1994 Memorial Cup.

He was selected by the Boston Bruins in the sixth round (151 overall) of the 1994 NHL Draft. Roy would go on to play 515 regular-season games in the NHL with the Bruins, Ottawa Senators, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins and Calgary Flames before retiring in 2009.

Roy was part of the Lightning squad that knocked Commodore and the Flames off in 2004 to win the Stanley Cup, skating in 21 post-season games with Tampa Bay that year and scoring three points (1g-2a).

He competed in 751 games in his professional career in the NHL, AHL, ECHL, and International Hockey League.

The 2026 Hurricanes Celebrity Dinner takes place at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge.

Tickets for the event are now available for $175 each or $1,500 for a table of 10; GST is additional. Premium Season Ticket Members and VIP Season Ticket Members can purchase tickets for $150+GST. Additionally, a VIP Reception ticket will be a $25+GST (must have a ticket to the dinner).

The 2026 Annual Celebrity Dinner will take place beginning with the VIP Reception from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Cocktails are from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the Dinner beginning shortly after 7:00 p.m.
