Medicine Hat man charged with sexual offence involving youth he employed

A 38-year-old Medicine Hat man has been charged with sexual assault and sexual contact with a child.

The Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) alleges that between September and December 2025, Arpit Dave engaged in sexual contact with a youth employed by him at a business located in Medicine Hat on the 1800 block of Strachan Road Southeast.

Dave was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice on February 11, 2026.

The MHPS stated that it recognizes the serious and sensitive nature of offences involving children and remains committed to conducting thorough investigations while respecting the privacy and well-being of victims.
