The public not only got to enjoy extravagant light displays, but also helped out several non-profit organizations.

Excite Lethbridge has announced that more than 15,000 tickets were sold for the 2025 edition of Glow Lethbridge, an increase of 13 per cent from 2024.

Sydney Koppe, Director of Community Engagement, says the event directly supported more than 20 local charities and organizations.

“The holiday season is about giving and giving back, and while we try to represent that feeling throughout the year, it was extra important to find ways to support our community during Glow 2025,” says Koppe.

The largest monetary support went to Ronald McDonald House, which received money from the coat check program. Volunteers provided more than 110 hours of work, and the program generated $3,488.91 in donations. All of the money will go towards helping families traveling to receive medical care for their children.

A new addition to Glow this year was the community booth program, where 20 local organizations raised awareness of their initiatives.

The Alberta Large Cars Christmas Cruise brought 70 lit-up and decorated trucks to the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre, resulting in thousands of dollars in donations to the Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree Campaign.

The City of Lethbridge had its Holiday Bus inside the indoor winter lights event, resulting in more than 1,500 pounds of food for Christmas Hope throughout its entire campaign.

Other partnerships included one with Kids Up Front, which allowed guests to donate tickets to children. There were also five pop-up library events by the Lethbridge Public Library, as well as the Lethbridge Hurricanes’ Holiday Cane Train Day.
