Claresholm school safely evacuated after bomb threat

UPDATE (2:55 p.m. Friday): Claresholm RCMP says the bomb threat at Willow Creek Composite High School has been deemed to be a false threat.

They say it was written on a bathroom stall.

The RCMP is now investigating a public mischief, which is a criminal offence.

Officers were called to the Willow Creek Composite High School on Friday morning, Jan. 30.

They say everyone has been safely evacuated from the school and taken to a local community centre.

The RCMP is asking the public to stay away from the school for the time being while they investigate.

There will be a heavy police presence at the scene for some time.
