Volunteer Lethbridge is asking everyone to commit a random act of kindness.

Random Acts of Kindness Week takes place Feb. 14-20, 2026.

The initiative celebrates the power of small, intentional acts, whether that is sharing a sweet treat, offering a helping hand, or surprising someone with a thoughtful gift.

The group is inviting local businesses, donors and the public to help spread kindness by supporting its Gifts of Kindness initiative.

The non-profit is seeking $3,000 in cash and in-kind donations, including gift cards, small items, or general sponsorship dollars.

Ludwig Moelbert, the initiative’s coordinator at Volunteer Lethbridge, says it is a simple way to give back.

“These gifts create space for people to make new connections, see their neighbours and community in a new light, and experience the genuine warmth that comes with kindness,” says Moelbert.

The Gifts of Kindness initiative officially launched on Feb. 1.
