Collision between train and semi-truck reported near Lethbridge

Lethbridge News Now has been made aware of a collision involving a train on Monday afternoon.

A listener said, at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, a Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) train collided with a semi-truck just east of Lethbridge.

It occurred at the junction of Highway 3 and Range Road 21-1 near Broxburn.

Several packages that were inside the truck spilled onto the roadway.

At this time, there is no word on whether anybody was hurt.
