Home, Garden & Leisure Show returns to Lethbridge Mar. 12-14

More than 300 vendors will pack the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre one month from now.

BILD Lethbridge and Meibel Consulting Inc. have announced the 2026 edition of the Home, Garden & Leisure Show.

Bridget Mearns, Executive Officer at BILD Lethbridge, says a wide range of businesses will be on hand to help you with just about any home-based project you have.

“There’s all variety of vendors, so we’ll have landscapers, we’ll have deck, we’ll have flooring, we’ll have builders, renovators, we’ll even have household things. Everything. We’ll have everything,” says Mearns.

She adds that it is a great opportunity for residents to hear directly from local experts.

“It’s important to businesses in our community to have access to a large number of people who are looking for the things they’re selling,” explains Mearns. “Often, they’re at businesses that wouldn’t necessarily have that type of exposure, so we’re happy to have that. It’s always great when you can put the consumer and the seller together, and they’re looking for the same things.”

This year’s event will feature two special guests – chef Roni Zaide and gardener Lyndon Penner.

Zaide, from Calgary, has worked as a vegan chef, food storyteller, and author of “Food Therapy: Recipes to nourish your body and soul” and “Roni’s Kitchen: Recipes from my food journeys around the world.“

She will conduct live demos and allow guests to sample her recipes.

Penner is a Canadian author, gardener and educator, perhaps best known for his book, “The Way of the Gardener.” He is a guide and wildflower interpreter at Waterton Lakes National Park, and conducts tours and presentations at Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens in Lethbridge.

Mearns says the new addition she is most excited about is called Crack the Code: Claim the Keys.

Attendees will have a chance to guess a multi-digit code, and if they get it right, they will win a brand new house from Stranville Living, valued at $589,900.

Her most anticipated returning event is Who BILDS it Best.

This is where high school students, who are enrolled at the new Southern Alberta Collegiate Institute, are given just 75 minutes to build an item with no advance knowledge of what they will be constructing and no power tools.

The Home, Garden & Leisure Show will be raising money for HALO Air Ambulance, which is the event’s official charity partner. They were able to donate $30,000 to the service last year through a 50/50 draw.
