Two charged with uttering threats in Crowsnest Pass

The RCMP has apprehended two people after an incident in a bar in southwestern Alberta.

Officers were called to the Grand Union tavern in Coleman on Monday, Feb. 16, on reports of a disturbance.

They say two men had been arguing with the staff. Two witnesses tried to intervene, but were allegedly met with threats and physical harm from the suspects.

Both of them were arrested.

Erik Bogeholt, 38, is charged with mischief under $5,000, uttering threats, and conspiring to commit an indictable offence.

Michal Bonk, 36, is charged with mischief under $5,000, uttering threats, conspiring to commit an indictable offence, and assault.

The two suspects have been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court in Lethbridge on Thursday, Feb. 19.

The RCMP says it engaged with the Canada Border Services Agency and Interpol, but did not elaborate further.
