Lethbridge County lifts fire restriction

Residents of Lethbridge County can once again obtain burning permits.

Effective immediately, it has lifted its fire restriction due to recent precipitation and cooler temperatures.

Fires and devices allowed under the County’s Fire Bylaw:  

  • Controlled burns (e.g., yard waste, burn pits) – permit required
  • Fireworks – permit required
  • Recreational campfires (in approved fire pits)
  • Burn barrels and incinerators with spark arrestors
  • Charcoal briquette barbecues
  • Gas/propane heaters, stoves, barbecues (CSA/ULC approved)
  • Wood pellet grills
  • Gas/propane firepits/rings (CSA/ULC approved)
