Feb 24, 2026 | 9:40 AM

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) hopes to equip the public with the tools to recognize, prevent and report fraud.

Members of the Economic Crimes Unit will be hosting a series of community events for Fraud Prevention Month in March.

These sessions will provide practical information on current scams, warning signs to watch for, and steps to take if you or someone you know becomes a victim.

Sgt. Kevin Talbot says that this year, three partner organizations have donated their time and spaces so they can connect with and educate residents about the importance of fraud awareness and prevention.

“We’re so grateful to the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO), the Nordbridge Senior Centre, and the Cor Van Raay YMCA for their generosity; allowing us to host these information sessions for the public at no cost,” says Talbot.
