Ag Expo underway at Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre with over 300 vendors

Southern Alberta’s largest gathering of agriculture industry representatives is officially underway.

Ag Expo kicked off Wednesday morning, Feb. 25, 2026, at the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre, which continues on Thursday and Friday.

Paul Kingsmith, Director of Event Development at Excite Lethbridge, says he is thrilled to finally launch this year’s event after months of planning.

“We’ve got three great days of a sold-out show, where we’re going to be bringing in people from across the region and beyond to really celebrate agriculture, see the latest technologies, and we’ll know that business gets done here, and we’re helping the industry to move forward,” says Kingsmith.

Around 310 vendors are showcasing their latest products and services, representing a wide range of industries such as seed production, farm equipment, livestock services, autonomous spraying, finance, bio-fuel, and much more.

It includes companies from six provinces and seven U.S. states, as well as six countries.

“For people that’ve come to Ag Expo for decades, you know the machinery row is a big part of that,” he says. “We brought it back last year, but this year, it’s even bigger. We’ve got over 20 exhibitors outside in the south parking lot, some more exhibitors on the north side, so we just keep expanding that footprint out.”

The massive combines, tractors and other big machines are always a major attraction at Ag Expo, with some standing well over 30 feet tall.

“This is what this building was built for,” Kingsmith explains. “It was, actually, Ag Expo was in mind when construction started, and being able to get these massive combines, this huge new Holland combine that’s right behind me, you see it, and it just puts it into perspective what the industry is really like out there.”

Another big component of Ag Expo this year is the North American Seed Fair, which is one of the largest events of its kind in North America.

It brings seed growers together from across Canada and the U.S. to display top-quality samples of pulse crops, cereals and oilseeds.

This year, more than 180 samples were received and judged, a significant increase from last year.

Ag Expo takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day between Feb. 25 and 27. Learn more at ExciteLethbridge.ca
