The City of Lethbridge is promoting its efforts to keep life affordable for residents.

The city is highlighting several ways in which they’ve been able to save money and be more efficient in the past year.

The city has recently saved up to $38,000 on new paper towel dispensers at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena thanks to an ongoing partnership with vendors, while advertising space on the dispensers is generating an additional $5,000 a year.

In 2025, the city also saved more than $350,000 in chemical costs by using artificial intelligence to pinpoint levels to treat drinking water, helping to keep water rates manageable while ensuring households continue to receive clean, safe water daily.

The city has also switched from perforated paper to regular paper for ambulance billing, saving around $2,000 a year.

The city says these efficiency projects are just some of the ways to demonstrate that every little bit helps to keep life in Lethbridge affordable.
