Two Quebec legislature members not running again, including housing minister
MONTREAL — Two prominent Quebec legislature members say they won’t be running in the provincial election scheduled for the fall.
Longtime Coalition Avenir Québec cabinet minister Caroline Proulx says she’s ready to move on as she approaches her 60th birthday.
Proulx is minister responsible for housing and the status of women, and has held other portfolios including tourism and seniors since she was elected in the Berthier riding north of Montreal in 2018.
Meanwhile, Independent legislature member Vincent Marissal says he’ll be leaving politics at the end of his term.
