The RCMP is asking anybody with information on a recent incident in southern Alberta to contact them.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, officers were called to a grass fire south of Eden Valley.

That is west of Nanton and near the Bar-U Ranch historical site.

A deceased person was found inside the vehicle, who has now been identified as a 24-year-old man from Calgary.

“His death is suspicious in nature,” says the RCMP.

Investigators are specifically looking for footage of a blue/grey 2022 Dodge Ram pickup with a tonneau cover.
