The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is hosting an early celebration for the start of spring.

It has announced that Spring Nature Fest will return on Friday, Mar. 13, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The festival offers opportunities to enjoy the sights and sounds of Lethbridge’s river valley.

There will be interactive activities by the Oldman Watershed Council, Lethbridge Polytechnic Early Childhood Education Program, the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, the Galt Museum & Archives and Fort Whoop-Up.

Jessica Deacon-Rogers, Education Programming Coordinator, says Spring Nature Fest will have a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, including geocaching, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, loose parts playground, and more.

“Spring’s arrival has everyone buzzing with excitement”, says Deacon-Rogers. “Spring Nature Fest is the perfect chance for families to step outside and soak up the magic of the season—from the subtle shifts in the landscape to the unmistakable signs that spring is popping up everywhere you look.”

All Spring Nature Fest events take place at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and are free.

The first day of spring in 2026 is Friday, Mar. 20.
