Man charged in alleged drug trafficking between Calgary and Lethbridge
Charges have been laid against a Calgary man suspected of trafficking drugs between Calgary and Lethbridge.
In April 2025, the Cochrane RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with assistance from RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region, began investigating a male suspected of trafficking drugs between the two cities.
Then on Feb. 26, 2026, Mounties located a vehicle associated with the suspect at a known problem address on Stoney Nakoda First Nation. Police say the vehicle was subsequently towed after the registered owner claimed it had been taken without consent.
Through continued investigation, Cochrane CRU confirmed that the suspect was actively involved in drug trafficking within the Stoney Nakoda First Nation community. According to Mounties, investigators utilized several techniques which ultimately led officers to a storage locker in Airdrie.
