RCMP from the Taber-Vauxhall detachment responded to a train versus semi-trailer collision on Tuesday near Taber.

At 2:17 p.m. on March 17, Mounties received a report of the collision on Range Road 160 alongside Highway 3, east of Taber near Fincastle.

An RCMP spokesperson says officers informed CPKC, and the crew was then stopped.

They added that there were no reports of serious injuries as a result.

An individual travelling on the highway captured video of the collision, which was shared on social media.

During the video, you can hear the train horn sounding before the collision, and see the semi parked with its trailer across the railroad tracks.

The individual filming is heard swearing in disbelief at what they just witnessed, as the train collides with the semi-trailer.
