Farmers invited to two free workshops in Lethbridge County

Mar 19, 2026 | 12:23 PM

Farmers and producers in and around Lethbridge County are being invited to two free agriculture workshops this spring, hosted through the county’s Agriculture Extension Program.

The Growing Opportunities Workshop runs on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre.

Lethbridge County says the sessions will focus on risk management, farm safety, emergency response planning, and succession planning.

The Shelterbelts and Resilient Landscapes Workshop is set for April 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Diamond City Community Hall.

The workshop is set to cover shelterbelt design, maintenance, and tree planting, with demonstrations on planning and pruning.

The county says free bare-root trees will be available for attendees.

“These workshops are a great opportunity for producers to learn practical strategies they can apply on their operations right away,” said Matthew Wells, Rural Extension Specialist with Lethbridge County.

Registration is available online at lethcounty.ca/p/learning or by calling 403-328-5525.
