Parkinson Association of Alberta launches Parkinson Awareness Month Campaign
The City of Lethbridge will be joining other Alberta Municipalities to raise awareness and support services assisting people living with Parkinson’s disease next month.
The Parkinson Association of Alberta is holding events in April as part of Parkinson Awareness Month, hosting events like the Sit ‘N Stand Challenge where individuals and groups attempt to set a goal for how many sit-to-stands they can complete in one-month, symbolizing strength and solidarity with those living with Parkinson’s.
Additionally, Stand up to Parkinson’s events will be taking place on Apr. 11 in cities like Edmonton and Calgary where people will gather to celebrate the resilience of the Parkinson’s community
In Lethbridge, the City will be getting involved Apr. 11 by lighting up city hall blue in recognition of Parkinson Awareness Month.
