Lethbridge police host youth academy for local students
Over the next few days, the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) will host 18 students for an introduction to policing during the 2026 Youth Academy.
The program is intended to promote policing as a career option, give insight into officers’ responsibilities, and showcase the work and opportunities available within LPS.
Participants, aged 12 to 16, are set to take part in activities reflecting real-life policing, including a station tour, recruiting presentations, fitness and training exercises, forensic and investigative skills sessions, and demonstrations by specialized units.
LPS says the academy will finish with a final investigative scenario, allowing students to apply what they’ve learned.
