Nominations open for Community Builder Awards

Apr 15, 2026 | 2:16 PM

Nominations are open for the 2026 Community Builder Awards.

Lethbridge MP Rachel Thomas is inviting members of the community to nominate an individual, not-for-profit, or business that goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in their community.

“Every spring, I put out a call for nominations and receive many heart-warming stories of individuals, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations who freely give of their time, talent, and resources to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” said Thomas. “These folks don’t expect to be acknowledged or honoured in any way, which makes it extra special to recognize them. They serve selflessly for the sake of others and make a remarkable difference in our community. I look forward to celebrating them.”

The award winners will be chosen by a panel of community members and presented in four categories: youth leader, adult leader, not-for-profit leader, and business leader.

“If your life has been positively impacted by the investment of someone in our community,” Thoms says. “Please nominate them today.”

Anyone interested in nominating for the 2026 Community Builder Awards can find nomination packages at the MP’s office or at www.RachaelThomas.ca.

Nominations close Monday, May 25.
