Two Programs

The County of Lethbridge is offering scholarships and bursaries to support residents pursuing post-secondary studies.

The county says it will deliver the scholarships and bursaries through two programs: the Post-Secondary Bursary program and the Community Benefit Scholarship.

The Bursary program, now in its seventh year, will award three students with $1,500 each to county residents entering their first year of post-secondary education at an accrediting institution.

Applicants do not have to be current high school students to apply.

The county says the community benefit scholarship is offered through their collaboration with Potentia Renewables Inc.’s Stirling Wind project.

Officials say up to two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to high-achieving, current high school students planning to further their studies in the field of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) in the 2026-2027 school year.

Applications for either of these programs are open until June 2, 2026.
