New Lethbridge Plays Kids Map launching April 25

Apr 24, 2026 | 4:50 PM

Lethbridge Plays is launching their new Kid’s Map, a tool to help kids point the way to fun features in Lethbridge’s parks.

Designed for kids, the map uses easy-to-follow illustrations and icons to help families discover more than 50 spots like splash pads and skate parks.

“This map helps kids see their city through a sense of fun and discovery,” says Coreen Putman, manager of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and co-chair of Lethbridge Plays. “It’s about encouraging play, curiosity, and spending time together—right here at home.”

The map encourages kids to practice map-reading skills while learning more about their community and staying active outdoors.

The map debuts Saturday, April 25, at the Earth Day event in Legacy Park from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at the Nature Play Pop-up at the Nature Centre from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
