Join the Waste & Environment team for a behind-the-scenes look at the Waste & Recycling Centre.

From My Yard to Yours: Gardening for Biodiversity and Wellbeing – 10 a.m.

Join a guided walk through two local gardens to discover how residents are increasing vegetation, supporting wildlife and enhancing wellbeing in a drought-prone prairie city.
Meet at Kinsmen Park Playground (834 10 St S).

Getting to Know Garry Station – 10 a.m.

Explore the history of Lethbridge’s west side, with a focus on the Garry Station neighbourhood. You will uncover how the area got its name, who “Garry” was and why railway themes are woven throughout the community’s design.
Meet at Central Park Playground (390 Aquitania Blvd W).

Vicky’s Place: Women Who Shaped Victoria Park – 10:30 a.m.

Join a guided walk through the heart of the Victoria Park neighbourhood as guides bring to life the stories of remarkable women spanning more than a century: business owners, community builders, educators, advocates and everyday leaders who shaped the streets we’re walking today.
Meet at Cupper’s Coffee & Tea (1502c 3 Ave S).

From the Majestic to the Next Stage: A Downtown Theatre Walk – 3 p.m.

Walk through 140 years of performing arts history, discovering the theatres, impresarios and community dreamers who shaped Lethbridge’s cultural life, and explore what comes next.
Meet at Casa (230 8 St S).

Mental Maps: Exploring the Image of the City – 6 p.m.

Join an immersive walking discussion of The Image of the City by Kevin Lynch. Learn more about one of the theories behind how people perceive and navigate the urban landscape and create your own “mental map” as you walk through the city.
Meet at City Hall (910 4 Ave S).

Sunday, May 3

Jane’s Ride: Rolling Views Celebration and Public Art Bus Tours – 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Join the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge and Lethbridge Transit for two unique bus tours of public art, on buses that have been transformed into works of art by local artists Kellen Spencer and Gillian Goerz.
Tour 1: Kellen Spencer – 12 p.m.
- Participants will visit public art installations downtown and on the north side. This tour will take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Tour 2: Gillian Goerz – 2 p.m.
- Participants will visit the river valley and west side to see works of public art located in farther-flung corners of the city. This tour will take approximately 2 hours.
Meet at Park ‘n’ Ride Transit Terminal (705 5 Ave S).
