City study looking into road safety, challenges, now complete

A long-awaited project on road safety in the City of Lethbridge is now complete.

Known as the Traffic Safety Culture Framework, its intention was to help reduce traffic-related injuries, fatalities, and collisions linked to risky driving behaviours.

The City, in announcing the report’s completion, says it marks an important milestone in the City’s ongoing commitment to safer streets.

One of benefits of the project is that almost every elementary school in Lethbridge now has a School Travel Plan, which looked into just how children travel each day – in the process identifying hazards and challenges for those walking, biking and rolling to school.
