County of Lethbridge suggests you know neighbour in case of emergency
It’s Emergency Preparedness Week, and the County of Lethridge and its regional partners feel there’s no better time to link up with your neighbours.
Emergency Managment Director Breea Tamminga concludes that strong community connections can make a real difference during an emergency.
“Having that connection will really help us when there is an emergency,” Tamminga believes.
“We can check in on each other. See how we’re doing. If we need to evacuate, we might not be home. We can get our neighbour to go and check in on our house or grab our emergency preparedness kit for us and meet us elsewhere.”
