Excite Lethbridge holds community Whoop-Up Days launch

With just under 15 weeks to go for the annual Whoop-Up Days celebration, Excite Lethbridge kicked off the countdown with a launch party, of sorts, Wednesday morning.

Mayor Blaine Hyggen, who spoke at the event, admitted afterwards the five-day event is a big draw annually for the city.

“The most important event, probably, of the year as far as it comes to a festival event,” the mayor emphasized.

“And it’s something that is absolutely a pleasure to see back again with the line-up and the different events that going to be happening with Whoop-Up Days, we couldn’t be more excited.”
