Town of Magrath issues an irrigation notice to residents

The Town of Magrath has come out with an Irrigation Notice.

It says it’ll receive water from the irrigation district and initiate the ‘turn on’ process beginning next Tuesday in order to fill up its lines.

The following Tuesday, May 19th, it’ll begin to open those lines, section by section, to check for any winter-related damage.

While they’re not discouraging producers from opening up their stand pipes to check for water flow, the concern is that turning on any town valves could lead to flooding.
