Fort Macleod Health Centre ER closed to public beginning at 7 p.m.

Citing a clinical personnel shortage and the inability to secure coverage, the Fort Macleod Health Centre’s emergency department will be temporarily closed to the public from 7 p.m. Thursday night to 7 a.m. Friday morning.

Alberta Health Services says a licensed practical nurse will remain on-site to provide care to long-term residents.

Anyone needing emergency medical attention is asked to call 9-1-1.

AHS added emergency calls will be rerouted to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge during the 12-hour closure.
