New names to be added to Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame Friday

Seven new entries will formally be added to the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame at an induction ceremony slated for tomorrow night (FRI) at the Trade & Convention Centre.

Included: Ross Bekkering in Basketball, Wacey Rabbit and Kris Versteeg for Hockey, the 2016-17 Kodiak Women’s Basketball National Championship squad in the Team category, Triathalete Dr. Alan Poytress as Builder, a special award to be presented to the Ralph Family, and historical inductee Pearl Violet Borgal.

Two Kinsmen ‘Sports Persons of the Year’ will also receive recognition from the hall – Coby Iwaasa for his involvement in racquetball and Shannon Clark in mixed martial arts.
