Calling it a shift towards a more connected approach, the province announced Tuesday that it’s awarding $120,000 to the Highway 3 Alberta Tourism Corridor Development Project.
Through its Northern and Regional Economic Development fund, Jobs, Economy, Trade & Immigration Minister Joseph Schow said the money will help to unlock new opportunities for economic development and employment.
The project covers communities and organizations from Medicine Hat to the south Canadian Rockies.
Among the groups taking part in the initiative are Tourism Lethbridge, the Town of Taber, and Waterton Lakes National Park.
