Lethbridge to host Grand Slam of Baseball beginning Thursday
Starting Thursday and continuing through Sunday the 31st, Lethbridge will be home to the first-ever Canadian Grand Slam of Baseball Showcase and Festival.
What started out as Spitz Stadium hosting a four-day Canadian College World Series, the tournament has now grown to include the Prairie qualifier for the Morneau Cup, the Bulls opening weekend, and a province-wide T-ball Jamboree.
“All this stuff is aligned at the same time, so why don’t we give it a name,” Lethbridge Bulls club president Kevin Kwame recalls thinking.
Part of the celebration will include the Canadian Baseball Legends Gala, featuring a keynote speech from former Toronto Blue Jay, and now TV analyst, Kevin Pillar. You can check out the details on the showcase and festival here.
