New executive director begins at Lethbridge Food Bank

The Lethbridge Food Bank is welcoming in a former longtime business owner as its new executive director.

Tim Rempel, recently appointed by the board, was asked if he has any plans as he takes on his new role.

“Because I come from completely outside of this world, I’m outside of this world, the first part is just getting an understanding of the needs of the organization and the needs of our people, and the needs of the community…of what we need to do,” Rempel explained.

Now in its 44th year of operation, the Lethbridge Food Bank serves close to 27,000 people annually, providing some 12,000 hampers in the process.
