U of L begins construction on gathering place on campus for students, staff

For some students, the pressures of university or being long distances away from families can be stressful. 

With that in mind, the U of L has begun construction on a project they’re calling The Grove.

Student Services executive director Mark Slomp says the concept is about two years in the making.

“It’s meant to be a place where folks can stop, meet new people, enjoy sitting around a harvest table together, or sitting around a fireplace. We’re going to have an outdoor fireplace.”
