Coalhurst opens up Miners Park to group camping, larger-scale events

The Town of Coalhurst is looking at getting more use out of its municipal camground this Spring and Summer.

Operated in the past as a drop-in campsite, the Town is exploring the idea of offering it up as a venue for private functions, like weddings, or other group celebrations, like tournaments.

Miners Park currently has 14 unserviced camping stalls, a picnic shelter, flush toilets, and pay showers, but also access to a childrens’ playground, three soccer fields and four ball diamonds.

Mayor Deborah Floence adds, much like booking a hall or community centre, groups can now reserve an entire outdoor venue.
