Lethbridge university student receives Top 30 Under 30 distinction
A Lethbridge university student and active member of the volunteering community has been singled out by the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation.
Alejandro Figueroa was one of 30 people honoured in February by ACGC for its Top 30 under 30 program that recognizes exceptional individuals youth under the age of 30 in business and community service.
“I was previously the vice-president of the Rotaract Club (Rotary) as well as with (Worldwide) University Service of Canada. I did a lot of work there, so between Rotaract and WUSC.” Figueroa explained.
“I was also involved with the university’s student wellness ambassador program, so all of that I was able to do a lot of community service.”
