Milk River area sets new temperature record for May 27

With many areas of eastern Alberta still under a Heat Warning Thursday, the town of Milk River hit a new daily maximum temperature record for May 27 on Wednesday.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the temperature reached 31.1 degrees Celsius in the Milk River area on Wednesday, beating the old record of 27.0 degrees for May 27, set in 2001.
The Milk River area is expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius again on Thursday.
Records in that area have been kept since 1994.
