The Lethbridge Police Service is investigating a report of a threat at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute that took place sometime during the morning hours of Monday.
Staff at the school contacted police after finding a threat written on school property – the message allegedly warning of harm against students and staff.
A decision was then made to lockdown LCI and nearby schools, including St. Francis, Ecole St. Mary, Victoria Park and Catholic Central High, as a precaution.
LPS now reports that all lockdowns have since been lifted and an investigation is underway to determine who might be responsible or if there’s any reason to believe a threat still exists.
