Legacy donation will leave “impactful and enduring legacy” says university

Two members of the U of L’s alumni community are committing a life insurance gift towards a program that helps student teachers in rural settings with travel and living expenses.

The Paving Road to Success fund, started in 2024, is near and dear to Dr. Toby and Dr. Bernadine Boulet, both teachers and graduates of the university.

‘Bernie’ notes it’s really important to be able to give back, “someone believed in us when we came through.”

The legacy gift allows donors to pay monthly, receive a tax credit, and leave money to the university in the future.
